Selangor, bring it on!

To sum up a write up about myself within 500 words can be quite a challenging task. I think it is probably tougher than the wake boarding or bungy jump or even gulping that awful shake of blended goat's brain and fermented tofu plus shrimp paste in one of the Fear Factor Malaysia episode I've entered few years back. Having said that I am certainly up for the MSS 2013 or also known as My Selangor Story.

Travelling has always been an indescribable fascination of mine. Not only it has taught me a lot of valuable lessons throughout the journey but also raise my curiosity one step higher. And I get pretty excited each time I encounter different culture, tradition, art and the beauty of life. I am certainly fortunate to be able to feel the great vibe especially around mother nature. And how this places sometime open up my mind and soul almost effortlessly. To be honest, actually we don't have to go that far to discover new things. Take Selangor for instance, I didn't know there were so much it got to offer until I went for their Tourism Selangor Day Out (TSDayOut). It was an eye opener and most importantly the unforgettable memories with new discoveries while sharing it with lots of new found friends that same the share passion.

Jolly good fun ride during one of the TSDay out. Its in Melawati Hill, Selangor
I love life and certainly believe in living my life as interesting as possible. That includes putting my nose into some adventure by joining contests and competition. I love to outdo myself and in the process if i need to make the fool out of myself...well be it..as long it doesn't do any harm to others, game on! its certainly nice to be goofy and having fun at the same time.

Can't wait for what MSS2013 got to offer as I have learnt so much about Selangor, still learning and will always keep learning. The  friendly crew and members of Tourism Selangor are helpful and accommodating. They ensure our safety are taken care off beside having fun and keeping our stomach happy :)

There are so many great ideas that I have in mind if I am being selected as one of the participants for MSS 2013. So watch out for more of my 'bragging' and showing off of our beautiful Selangor  through blogging, video, twitter or even instagram next year. Ohh la laa simply can't wait to let my 'katak biru' unleash the guts to try on their many activities soon!

Till then, wishing everyone a very happy and blessed New Year 2013. Let's make 2013 as interesting as possible. Rock on!!

PETRONAS DEEPAVALI CAMPAIGN

Yeay...Deepavali is here and I cant wait to be back my lovely home town and spending 'colorful' time with my family. So anxious for another road trip! Yup, I've just got back from Penang for PETRONAS #switch4xtra road trip challenge and boy it was FUN!. For those who are still clueless of what I'm talking about, you may refer to this LINK HERE.

Well, I really enjoyed myself during the entire journey from KL to Penang and back forth. I was also very fortunate to meet such wonderful people along the way. Huda and I were in team Scha Alyahya and were given few tasks to complete during the road trip. Our safety and welfare are well taken care of and we got the chance to drive the new Proton Preve courtesy of PETRONAS! I'll write about the funny and crazy food indulgence moment on another blogpost.

So talking about Deepavali and PETRONAS, the anticipation of their commercial or advertisement always fascinates me. I must admit that it has captured the many hearts of Malaysians especially during festive seasons. PETRONAS has always been known to create great impact ad that portray diverse heritage, tradition and culture in our multiracial community. I like it when how there are always 'story unfold' at the end of each advertisement. Somehow or rather, I'm pretty sure we as fellow Malaysians could relate to some of their pieces. How can we forget "Muthusamy Karupiah"!! in one of the many Deepavali commercials. Here from PETRONAS Deepavali Greeting 2012 for all of you:

Further to that, PETRONAS Deepavali Campaign was officially launched at Galeri PETRONAS on 5th November 2012. The campaign lead to an exhibition entitled "Be the Light-A Celebration of Culture and Tradition:. You may check it out the press conference as shown below.

There are also few other events organized by PETRONAS in conjunction with the Deepavali campaign. So if you are in KL during the long holiday break, why not pay a visit to Galeri Petronas KLCC for some pretty interesting lined up activities for you to participate eg. henna drawing, making the kollam etc. You may check it out HERE.

And before I forget, HAPPY DEEPAVALI to all my friends all around the world! Be safe and have a blessed celebration. Now spare me some muruku!.:)

SONY-Power in Your Pocket

Power In Your Pocket -- what does it means to me? words like this can be significant in my daily life. Like for example a walk in the park, crossing the zebra line, handling clients at the workplace, meetings, people watching while having my meal, observing the surrounding as I move or the journey to unfamiliar places on my travel escapade. I believe great things come in smaller packages and with the genius invention from the people of SONY, the power to snap/making a video/create or even design that very cool ideas of yours are about to be materialized creatively. We capture that with our eyes, mind, body and soul. The power to create anything you want is about the sized of your palm/pocket. Who says you need huge, bulky gadget to make all that happen?

Take SONY Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 for example. A pocket sized DSC-RX100 features the world's first 1.0 type CMOS sensor with a resolution of 20.2 megapixels and F1.8 Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T*3.6x optical zoom lens. Its the key to gorgeous, detail-packed images and best of all Full HD movie clips with very low noise. Now I don't even have to start complaining about the light weight that fit easily in my pocket, there is simply unnecessary for me to do so on the quality presentable. This is probably the wait that I have been waiting for. A good quality camera equivalent with a DSLR / camcorder combine only better. And they say at times you need to zip down those pocket full of dreams, coz there when those dreams could fly freely and making it come true magically!  My version that best depicts POwer In Your POcket is captured as below:
POwer in Your POcket
DSC RX-100 just burst with power to realizing a lot of our dreams in a sized of the pocket. While we are at work, travel and have fun to learn the culture, history, ideas, life and even make some extra income from there. :)

I can now slip it in my pocket/my mini tote bag and as at when i see something that entice me, I just need to take the SONY Cybershot DSC-RX100 out and start creating the magic!
I can do a lot of things that I LOVE with SONY DSC RX-100
To own DSC RX-100 is like having my 3 favorite characters come to life!!
User friendly control ring of the DSC RX-100 effortlessly adjust camera settings with a jiffy. I can also create few types of picture effect without editing such as Miniature, Toy Camera, HDR painting, water colour or even illustration. With 240g on my pocket, I could create high quality, crisp and detailed images even in low light condition. That pretty huge achievement for a compact camera..infact SONY DSC-RX100 has been voted as BEST PRODUCT (Advanced Compact Camera) 2012-2013  at the EISA Award (European Imaging and Sound Association)
in a nutshell

Being at the top can be pretty awesome!
I love the outdoor and nature always calm me, that probably one of the reasons how my sanity find inner peace. And since DSC-RX100 has been added in my dream list, to own this beauty is also to own the power to deliver high precision images and refined defocus images. With new WHITE MAGIC technology, I could have constantly clear view even when shooting outdoors.
self snap while having my blissful holiday like this are something worth waking up for
The DSC RX-100 boasts a massive 1.0-type Exmor CMOS sensor to capture more light and reproduce stunning details with great accuracy. So just shoot and click without spending more time on the compositions to get the right mood. More refined images with BIONZ image processor too.
with RX-100, creating the mood are as simple as abc. no more complicated handling.
i love to travel and explore those simple little things that captured my hearts, mind, body and soul. like the innocence smile of  kids, hugs of love, colourful flowers, lights in the dark and many more priceless moments can be captured creatively with DSC RX-100. Another passion of mine is to join contests..yes i'm a contest freak..imagine what DSC RX-100 can do for my participation. The only thing I need is a pocket-sized gadget that can do wonder!

Really looking forward for it to be mine so that I could capture those moments and learn as I explore this beauty. I could create awesome video travelogue or even participate in more contests out there. Simply SWEEEET~. So light and genius, I don't have to think twice to let the DSC RX-100 tag along in my journey.
i found peace with this photo taken at Mount Sapa, Hanoi.
For more info, please add them on FACEBOOK or TWITTER
this is in conjunction with the contest Blog to win the RX-100
waiting for this beauty to be mine!!!

Learn to Dive-Downbelow

Orait folks..here's the deal..ever thought of diving at Downbelow for FREE? yup.. you heard that right. just head on to their blog and start doing your magic..who knows you might just snag that awesome prize and making one of your dreams come true! If you are a true adventurous outdoor person with a knack of all things curious then this is definitely one of the contests you should not missed.

Synonym to my nickname -Lil'Devil, I love to try dangerous  outdoor stuff and escape myself into a world of my own especially communicating with mother nature. To be honest, I cant swim and I'm Aquaphobia..gulp..but that doesn't keep me away from trying all the fun watersports that I could think off such as parasailing, jet-ski, snorkeling, wakeboarding, water rafting etc. However, sad to admit that I have not try diving yet..maybe the fear of being down below..:P
i love to lead my life as interesting as possible!
But deep down I've always wonder what is like in the world downbelow..is it going to be scary, pitch dark with no sense of communications..and do sea-ghost really exist?? or perhaps I could meet my most cheerful buddy--the spongebob and the list could go on and on.
The fact that I have not been to Sabah just increase my curiosity level one step higher. Sabah, the land below the wind as how it is affectionately known is indeed filled with virgin jungles and untouched islands. Such amazing and beautiful islands waiting to be discovered.

Speaking of which, I'm attracted to one of the package offer by DOWNBELOW - the PADI Open water Scuba Diving Course
Since it is going to be my first try, why not try it with one of the best team that not only has been working hard but also promoting its marine conservation-this i like!!. Being awarded the status of PADI 5 Star instructor Development centre 2009 is something they should be proud of as pushing them to the highest level in professional diver training. Kudos guyz!

Orait what unique about this course is that they have their own very quiet lagoon and a very special house reef with lots of marine life. Now that enticing! Cost are also pretty affordable from  RM1,320 (3-4days duration) and you could expect maximum depth of 18 metres, equipment rental, guide/instruction, required learning materials,boat/hotel transfers and certification fees.Well it pretty much cover everything that we need, the only thing we need to bring is positive mindset, fun attitude, FIT to dive and probably some spare clothes to change thereafter. heheehe

What i like about Downbelow is that they are well trained with resident PADI course director with fully equipped facilities and not forgetting in their very own ideally location at Pulau Gaya. Such a 5 star dive centre that just 10 minutes away from Kota Kinabalu, its a just a breeze away for a magical discoveries down below. so no more wasting time on the road, we will be in the water in a jiffy. I am definitely looking forward to try for my first dive with Downbelow..(fingers crossed!)
this is the deepest i could go..so am i fit to go for a dive??
Imagine if i could do this
pic source from Google
Aggrhhh been longing to witness with my very own eyes what the world beneath the ocean lies. Even though i must admit the fear of being underwater is still exist in me, I'm sure Downbelow will tackle all my worries. With few awards under their belt, experienced instructors and high standard of safety ensure they are professionally maintained and serviced. Really do hope I could be one of the lucky ones to experience it myself one fine day! pick me pleaseee..so call me maybe? (hahaha i cant resist)

Being underwater doesn't mean they are off from social media network. They are pretty much everywhere FACEBOOK, BLOG and even TWITTER. so easy peasy!

You may contact them personally for more great diving courses at:

Arsenal - Meeting the Gunners in Malaysia!

Wassuppp..... I was one of the lucky 50 who have won a priceless opportunity for the Meet & Greet (M&G) session with Arsenal FC players last Sunday. Organized by Proevents and out of 3,416 entries I was one of the chosen. An opportunity I should not missed!. So off I went to Saujana Hotel Shah Alam with my sis, Moly. Met Lizzie at the registration counter and decided to team up--well kinda "u stractched my back and i scratched your back" kinda thing..15 minutes was given for each session. We were on the line since 430pm. But the M&G will only starts after 530pm as stated in those passes. A lot of waiting and fans started pushing. But we managed to went through all that and 'sneaked' in for the 1st session. First thing first..strategy! we went to the players with least / none fans roaming around them. hahaa..

Lukasz Fabianski is so pleasantly good looking esp that he is a lefty hahaa
And one point, other fans started asking me to help them by taking picture for them. I tried to help but omg..with limited time, I felt like the time for my own are running out so fast! literally I'm in Amazing race with these amazing players..Liz and I can make a good team as we managed to score pictures with 10 players. haaa..
Gervinho

Mikel Arteta -like a spanish actor..

Ignasi Miquel

Marouane Chamakh

Francis Coquelin

Craig Eastmond

Alex Song
Then the bell rangs after we took picture with Nicholas Yennaris and panic grips in. As I was picking up their autographed pictures on the table, Abou Diaby winked at me. LOL... Security were everywhere around to 'chased' us out.
Nicholas Yennaris
Then it suddenly hit me, oh no..we have not met Walcott..So as we were searching in the hall with some fans running around, finally managed to find him. But fans were still roaming around his table and then came one huge white lady and screamed " Out! that's enough!" while she pushed them away, I did the Justin Bieber trick again and move to the side, giving a 'kesian face" with my hand gesture only 1 photo pleaseeeee to the security. Surprisingly, he said ok so i guessed my "puss in boots" face sells. hahaa and So 1 click for Liz, then when it was my turn..another security pushed me away, but heck..lil devil gotta do what she does best...hahaa..i kinda stayed and once Liz has given the ok sign, i then said 'thank you' and move away  gleefully.Walcott was friendly while his teammate- Vito Mannone  (sitting next) jokingly said to him, man you are most wanted! hahaaa
Vito Mannone and Theo Walcott..hehehe
Thanks Liz for the photos! :) and to Proevents for organizing this..:)

Justin Bieber Live in Malaysia 2012!

Last year, ive updated my status asking would anyone get pissed off if i said i hv the meet & greet passes to meet Justin Bieber?
Last year, ive updated my status asking would anyone get pissed off if i hv the chance to meet JB?
So fast forward 15 months later, I finally had the chance to meet him in person. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan but I'm a believer and never say never for an opportunity so thanks to Digi Youth and Universal mUsic Malaysia..finally..i guess the law of attraction works ya?

Must admit it was a bit poorly organized, as the winners were asked to registered at 1.30pm when the actual meet & greet (MNG) is only going to be after 330pm. ???? Te MNG winners are not allowed inside the press conference hall. But I was lucky as I was heading towards KLCC, the security lead me to the press conference and nobody stopped me..LOL. So i went in and managed to grab a seat 3rd row from the front!

registration at level 1 of Traders HOtel
the tag was meant for MEet and Greet Only..but hehee..
Waiting and keep waiting inside this hall...>.< It was nice to meet the nicest crew from Universal Music Malaysia like Michelle and Alycia. (met them before during Singapore trip to meet Far east movement) and i was a little surprised that Ryan Matjeraie from hitz/8tv quickie actually could recognized and say hi to me. Super friendly guy. Met him for the 1st time during the same Far east movement too..haha

winners seat
was so bored so i started to doodle as my little tabby and hp are not with me..pffftt

interview session after his acoustic performance..naiseee

Justin Bieber and mtv VJ holly
No recording are permitted during his  performance and it is strictly guarded so no choice..I've only brought my compact camera. my hp and samsung tab was surrendered at the registration counter earlier. Screaming fans started crying and 1 girl was lucky enough to be called on stage by Justin himself during 'One less lonely girl' acoustic. He was hugging her and kissed her forehead twice. She was hysterically out of control literally.

Finally after all that, ive managed to meet the rest of the MNG winners. wasnt shocked to know it was more than 7 of us from telco sponsors. 10 persons in a group photo. The house rules was "No autograph, no hugging, no kissing, no photo and no talking not even a hand shake". So as our turn came, it was a bit messy, I was literally being pushed at the corner..wth?? so after the group photo, the security and guard kinda drag us to move away, since i was at the corner and everyone has left, as I turned, Justin and I looked at each other eye to eye, he just came towards me and hugged..kekeke..mcm drama pulak kan? I must admit..he has the face of a pretty boy but a little too skinny. I think he did try to connect to the winners/fans as close as he can. But the only setback was the security and his bodyguard that are a little too exaggerating. So there..waited more than 3 hours for a 2 seconds meet and greet.
and that's a wrap!
but at least Ive finally met this youtube sensation + multi-talented celebrity. haha never say never and believe in dreams..that's what i constantly reminding myself to do!

squeezing in with Justin bieber..LOL

The Ultimate AirAsia Ranger!” contest

Queens Ranger Park simply rocks!

Being a Big fan of English Premier League also known as EPL can be a curse at times. Imagine staying up late just to watch those match LIVE from my humble home. The battle to conquer the tv remote control can be brutal. yeah i meant that when i said 'brutal'...hahah.. i could even find the 'football fever' are unbearable when my favorite team are battling in the football pitch by not giving their very best. When 'silly' consideration of passing the football to the opponent are intolerable, things gets pretty nasty when penalty or free kicks are given..yeah talking about the suspense and thrills while they holds against their crucial part of their body before the kick..ahaks!

Crashing the opponent team manchester city by 3-2 was one probably of the highlight that definitely will shaken the rest of the top clubs for next season.

Its hard to tell that their defeat to victory was a sure win at first. But inevitably, it did raise few highbrows higher than the empire state..:P
Stroke with good technique and team work, the win actually give them a huge punch to rise up in the limelight.
jump of a champ!

Oh ya what about the match against Manchester City where Joey Barton was sent off for elbowing Carlos Tevez? well..maybe Joey should give himself a good 10 seconds rule before reacting that way. But who don't get piss off when things don't come our way right? hehe..

oh yaaaaaaa...
